without comments

New job numbers
Today new numbers got out and it appears that the job situation is not as terrible as first expected – but still – it is no walk in the park either. In May less people lost their jobs than first expected. This development has made the european indexes go up. The German DAX rose more than 1 percent after the news.

The cold facts
Though the unemployment rate rose up to 9,4 percent in May, which is the highest since august 1983, it is nat all bad. Experts has expected that the number of unemployed people would rise to 525.000. But instead only 345.000 people lost their jobs in may. read more aboute the development in unemployment in the US here

Economists: U.S. employment in free fall

without comments

No job for you today my friend…
Almost 600,000 Americans lost jobs in January. The depressing figures, the second biggest jump in the number of unemployed in a month to paint a picture of a U.S. employment in free fall, said economists.

Tough conditions
The soft labor market is a mirror image of the economy’s overall condition, there is still catastrophically low, says the finding by the chief Jacob pond from Sydbank. “Economic growth is strongly negative and the mood of both consumers and businesses are at the lowest levels in decades. The large decline in employment makes a quick turnaround in the economy quite unlikely,” says Jacob pond in a comment. read more aboute the loosing of jobs in the US

Why are we so dependent on the US economy?!

without comments

It really socks that we are so dependent!

We all know that the world economy depends quit a lot on the American economy. This really bother me! Why sould I be dependent on how the americans juggle their economy. It has got influence on everything that is important in my everyday, interests of my savings, food prices, mortages, house prices…you name it!

What aboute EU

I truely belive that it would do a lot if we here in Europe could be an actual counterpart to the American economy. I think that we in much greater terms should try to unite the economies of Europe. It is a problem that the EU menber countries so very often disagree on key elements in financial politics, as it weakens us in conparason to the US.

Is the US fading?

Many have been discussing if the US is losing its possition as the worlds greatest super power. I do not know what to think. I mean, the resent financial cricis has not exactly show that the US are mature enough to fight any cricis. More so the other way around. They did not, in my opinion, do enough to keep the situation from evolving – sould they not have taken more responsibility – their world reaching influence taken into consideration?
